Discipleship pastor Bio - Daniel Leslie

Daniel accepted the God’s call into the ministry in April of 2016, to serve as the youth Pastor at Elizabeth Chapel Baptist Church, and has been there ever since. Before this, Daniel served as the youth ministry intern at the church he grew up in, South Harriman Baptist Church. He accepted Jesus as his Savior and Lord at an early age. He is the son of a Minister of Music, Sam, and mother, Leigh Ann, who live in Kingston, Tennessee. He is married to Alyssa, an 8th grade teacher at DMS, and is the proud father of Milton. He attended Bryan College in Dayton, TN on a baseball scholarship for two years, before transferring to TTU and majoring in Accounting. Outside of the church, Daniel is an avid sports fan, especially baseball and golf, and he is the assistant baseball coach at DCHS.

Daniel’s passion in ministry is to enable others to find out how they can best serve the Lord and the church, and to help them along the way. Building the body of the Church through discipleship, education, and evangelism, “For just as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts of that body, though many, are one body—so also is Christ.” - 1 Corinthians 12:12. Just as others may find their worship in music, teaching, service, etc. He finds his worship in empowering others to do just that, find how they truly worship God. During his time in youth ministry, his goal has been to train and encourage his students to not just attend church, but to be the church. Using the gifts and abilities the Lord has blessed each of us with to serve the Lord and His Church.

Daniel will give his testimony during the Aug. 27th Worship Service, and we will have a vote on him immediately following the service in a Special Called Business Meeting.
