Everything you need to know before camp

Students need to be in the parking lot NO LATER than 9:00 am on July 3.
We will pack up the vans and then have a breakfast in the cafe.
Students/adults don’t need to wear “church clothes”.
Wear something comfortable for the ride (an awakening t-shirt, youth group shirt, or previous camp shirt would be cool).

Money - Enough spending money for 1-2 fast food meals on the way down,
lunch on Monday, July 4, 1-2 fast food meals on the way back.
If a student needs money for food, we will always take care of them.
Please let me know privately ahead of time as much as possible.
If you have a camp balance, please pay it before camp (or let me know if you are unable to).
Fuge has a really cool gift shop with lots of cool clothes and other merchandise if you want additional funds for that.

Packing - There’s a link to a parent pack that tells you everything you need for camp.
Double check and triple check this list. Do not forget your bible, linens, and toiletries.
If you want to pack lighter, I recommend showering for worship at night and wearing the same clothes to site the next morning.

Do not skim over this next part.
You must fit all of your luggage in one large or 2 smaller bags except for an overnight bag (backpack or small duffel)
which will either ride with you or on the above head storage in the Elizabeth chapel van.
Your overnight bag needs to have beach swimwear, a towel, and whatever you will change into after inside.
DO NOT put anything in your main luggage bag that you will need before we arrive at camp (wallet, chargers, some toiletries).
Main luggage will be LOCKED UP in a trailer from the time we leave the church on July 3 until we arrive at camp in the afternoon of July 4.

Ladies, beach attire should be covering, and not revealing.
If you are unsure about your attire, consult a female youth worker before camp.
Do not ask Jordan and please for the love of all that is holy do not send him pictures and say “is this okay?”. It’s not okay.

Departure/Arrival - We will dismiss Sunday morning service in prayer over our trip and drive to our hotel
(Microtel 1124 Shelton Beach Rd, Saraland, AL 36571).
We will wake up early on the 4th and go to the beach.
From there, we will go to lunch, then camp at the University of Mobile.
We will leave Saturday morning, July 9th, and hopefully be home by 5 pm.
Parents, we will update you on our progress on the way back.

Release form - If you haven't done your release form, you're a monster.

Feel free to ask me any question any question folks.
If you haven’t, text @fbcfuge22 to 81010 to get the texts while we are at camp.
Parents not attending, I don’t recommend this, as it may be annoying. I usually just text meeting points, lights out, and reminders.
